CERTIFICATE IN BIBLICAL STUDIESThis Program has been designed as a foundational program that will prepare the student for the Diploma Programs that are offered by IIBT. Students will receive a solid foundation in the areas of Christianity, the Church, Theology, and help them with a thorough understanding of the Bible.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: Students must have a High School Diploma or GED to enter the Program. A total of 72 units is required to graduate the Program. TRANSFER STUDENTS: In order to be eligible for graduation from the Certificate in Biblical Studies program, a transfer student must complete a MINIMUM of 9 units or 3 courses of REQUIRED courses from IIBT. Only units with a grade of "C" and above will be transferred from other educational institutions. Transferred units must be in courses that relate to IIBT's Certificate Program. NEW TESTAMENT
BNT - 100 New Testament Survey (4 units)
A survey of the New Testament from the silent years through the Book of Revelation.
BNT – 110 Between the Testaments (3 units)
A study of the background for the New Testament’s Political and Cultural settings, defining how they impacted the New Testament peoples.
BNT - 214 New Testament Studies I (The Gospels) (3 units)
A study of the four Gospels, paying special attention to the style and approach of each writer.
BNT - 215 General Epistles (3 units)
A basic study of the General Epistles which includes James, I and II Peter, I, II, III John and Jude.
OLD TESTAMENT
BOT - 121 Old Testament Studies I (3 units)
A study of the first five Books of the Bible, looking at the origin of the earth, the development of humanity, and the nation of Israel.
BOT – 111 Old Testament Survey I (3 units)
A study of the first five Books of the Bible, looking at the origin of the earth, the development of humanity, and the nation of Israel.
BOT – 122 Old Testament Survey II (3 units)
A survey of the Old Testament from I Kings through Malachi.
BOT – 230 Old Testament Men and Women - (3 units)
A study of the men and women of the Old Testament who were outstanding in their faith.
BIBLICAL PRACTICAL APPLICATION
BPA – 111 Foundations of Faith/Studying for Success (3 units)
Includes Studying for Success and also an introduction to the doctrines of Christ-centered Faith.
BPA – 120 Praise Life (3 units)
A study of the value of Praise throughout the Bible and providing insight into the importance of Praise.
BPA - 222 Faith II (3 units)
A continued and more in-depth look at Biblical Faith.
BPA - 232 God's Authority in the Believer (3 units)
A study of the authority of a child of God.
BPA - 240 Preparation for Ministry I (3 units)
A study on two basics of Christian preparation for ministry, including the believer’s attitude and the responsibilities of the armor-bearer in the Body of Christ.
BPA - 260 Awareness of Church Government (3 units)
This is a study of the various types of Church government, such as the Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Congregational, and Independent.
BPA - 342 Prayer II (3 units)
A study on the foundational principles of Prayer within the .Lord’s Prayer.

An introduction and overview of basic Biblical Doctrine.

BTH - 341 Spiritual Warfare I (3 units)
A study of the dimensions of Spiritual warfare and how to break the strongholds of the enemy. Also, covering the value of living the Spirit-filled and controlled life.

An introduction to Systematic Theology, starting with Bibliology and Basic Theology.
BTH - 101 Obedience (3 units)
A detailed look at obedience and obedient characters throughout the Bible.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
CED - 111 Life Management God's Way (3 units)
This course deals with how to make proper decisions, the management of the soul, spirit, finances, and time. It also teaches how to set realistic Biblical goals, develop a genuine Biblical vision, and manage one’s body.
PROGRAM COMPLETION
Program Completion Research and Study Project (3 units)
At the completion of each program level, there is Program Completion Research & Study Project that is open book, without time limit, for the student to complete.
