PASTORS & MINISTERS
These courses build further upon the Certificate in Biblical Studies to give the student a deeper understanding of Biblical Theology, Christianity, and the Church. Graduates of this Program will be well equipped to be successful communicators of the fundamental teaching of the Bible.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:

Students must have an Associate Level Certificate to enter the Program.

A total of 144 units are required to graduate the Program. (Includes units from Associate Level Certificate)

TRANSFER STUDENTS:

In order to be eligible for graduation from the Diploma in Theology program, a transfer student must complete a MINIMUM of 18 units or 6 courses of REQUIRED courses from IIBT. Only units with a grade of "C" and above will be transferred from other educational institutions. Transferred units must be in courses that relate to IIBT's Diploma in Theology Program. Students who apply themselves to the program coursework should be able to complete it within the two year period.

NEW TESTAMENT

BNT - 311 Pauline Epistles I (3 units)
A study of Pauline Epistles from the Book of Galatians through II Thessalonians.

BNT - 321 Romans I (3 units)
A study of Paul’s letter to the Romans, chapters one through eight.

BNT - 422 Pauline Epistles II (3 units)
A study of I and II Corinthians, I and II Timothy, Titus and Philemon.

BNT- 332 Romans II (3 units)
A study of the latter half of the Letter written by Paul to the Church at Rome, chapters nine through sixteen.

OLD TESTAMENT

BOT- 444 Old Testament IV (Major Prophets) (3 units)
A study of the major Prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and Daniel.

BOT - 455 Old Testament V (Minor Prophets) (3 units)
A study of the minor Prophets: Hosea through Malachi.

BIBLICAL PRACTICAL APPLICATION

BPA  - 360 Ethics and Excellence (3 units)
A study of the importance of ethics and excellence in the believer and ministry, including excerpts from the Old & New Testament.

BPA - 333   The Nature of Faith (3 units)
This course teaches about the God-kind of Faith.

BPA - 350 Integrity (4 units)
A look at integrity and the believer, stressing the importance of integrity in the believer’s life.

BIBLE PROPHECY

BPR - 333 Bible Prophecy (3 units)
This course deals with the fundamentals of Biblical Prophecy and its interpretation.

BPR - 455 Revelation Encounter (3 units)
This course gives a solid introduction and overview of the contents the Book of Revelation.

BIBLICAL THEOLOGY

BTH - 343 Systematic Theology III (3 units)
A study of Ecclesiology, Eschatology, Hamartiology and Soteriology.

BTH - 101 Obedience (3 units)
A detailed look at obedience and obedient characters throughout the Bible.

BTH - 442 Spiritual Warfare II (3 units)
A continued study of Spiritual Warfare I with a focus on understanding the enemy and his tactics. Also, the power inherent within the New Testament believer.

BTH - 351 New Testament Church History (6 units)
A study of Early New Testament history and its impact on modern civilization.

BTH - 331 The Believer's Anointing (3 units)
A study on how to recognize, develop and release God’s resident anointing through the believer.

BTH - 460 Hermeneutics (3 units)
An introduction to interpretation of Biblical text.

BTH - 454 Systematic Theology IV (3 units)
A study of Pneumatology and Divine Healing.

BTH - 492 Christ our Healer (3 units)
An introduction to the healing ministry of Christ

BTH - 490 Blood Covenant (3 units)
An in-depth look at Blood Covenanting in the Bible with emphasis on the Blood Covenant of Jesus Christ.

CHRISTIAN MISSIONS

MIS - 340 Comparative Religions (3 units)
A study of world religions including false cults in comparison to Christianity.

ADMINISTRATION

ADM - 311 Leadership in Ministry I (3 units)
A study in Ministerial leadership, including the responsibilities and obstacles of leadership, and learning the basic tenants of leadership.

MINISTERIAL PRACTICUM

Ministry Practicum is volunteer ministry over the course of study. Students are REQUIRED to give an average of two (2) hours per week, or a minimum of 72 hours (over the time of the Program), of volunteer service to their local church or acceptable substitute within the Student's Program.
 
This Practicum is REQUIRED for ALL non-audit, non-doctoral candidates. The certificate/diploma students MUST COMPLETE this practicum requirement. Each practicum is worth 3 units)

The three major areas of practicum are as follows: (Student's may choose one)

 Christian Service Practicum: Service in their church. ie; Usher, Praise and Worship, Sunday School, Youth, etc.

 Christian Seminars Practicum: A paper written on a minimum of a 2 day Seminar/Conference.

 Preaching/Teaching Practicum: Preaching or teaching is for practice in Homiletics

 Note: 3 units are given to Pastors and full-time ministry people.

PROGRAM COMPLETION RESEARCH AND STUDY

At the completion of each program level, there is Program Completion Research & Study Project that is open book, without time limit, for the student to complete.
